Graham Jones - Legend!!!
17th July 2013
10 minutes ago I was sitting at my computer when an email popped up from a bloke called Graham Jones. Whose this I asked myself. Graham Jones (in my eyes) has turned out to be a generous, caring and all out top bloke who has decided to run a 10K marathon in order to raise money for Olivia. I have copied his email below for you all to read.

Hi Michelle,
My fiance showed me your page yesterday, and I have to say I was really touched by the story, and the position you and Olivia find yourself in.
I myself lost my Dad a week after my first birthday and know how hard it was to grow up without him in my life (and still is), and how hard it was on my mum to raise a child - not only in terms of the practical side of things, but to financially provide as well.
With this in mind, I'm planning to run a 10k in September (signed up after reading this last night) with all money raised going towards Olivia's Trust Fund. As I said, the race is all signed up for - I just want to figure out the best way to collect donations as I know that the fund won't be listed on Just Giving, or similar. Do you have any suggestions?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Graham

Hi Marc,
Thanks for getting back in touch. Just to clarify, I'm going to be doing the Richmond Park 10k (unfortunately I'm not quite fit enough to attempt a Marathon just yet!).
That sounds great, and I'm more than happy to meet up in order to exchange the final amount raised. My only concern is that I know that I'll have the best chance of raising the most money through some kind of online portal due to the ease of donation etc. I've seen one potential site that allows this for non-registered charities (http://www.gofundme.com/how-to-fundraise/) however they take 5% of anything raised - and I'd much rather that money went directly to Michele and Olivia.
If you have any suggestions on how to potentially do this better - then please do let me know as I'm keen to get the ball moving on this right away to get as many donations as possible.
Kind regards,
Graham

Hi Marc,
I've had a look around and there really is no other alternative platforms to use. So I've decided to use gofundme, and that I will personally add 5% to the total donations received in order to make up the deficit.
I've set up a page here - http://www.gofundme.com/3mfh7s but wanted to run it past yourself and Michelle before sharing it around, to make sure everyone was happy with the text etc on there.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Graham
